Ange slaps down Scottish media in latest Aussie interview

Ange Postecoglou has went on a serious charm offensive on his latest return to Australia.

Since the international break kicked in, the Celtic boss has fielded many questions from various media outlets and I have to say, the quality of interview from the Australian broadcasters leave our Scottish media trailing in their shadow.

No loaded questions. No searching for headlines. Just straight honest to goodness questions with the intent of getting an honest answer.

And Ange is as honest as they come.

So when he was asked in his latest interview by 10 Football about his ambition to manage in the Premier League after the recent lies, I mean, speculation from our MSM, Ange said, “I have never sort of thought that way and anyone who knows me knows that I don’t.

“What I’m doing is what’s most important to me. And I’ve always tried to, wherever I am, have as much success as I possibly can and wherever that takes me next, or whether that takes me somewhere else or stay where we where I am.

“Football is a funny world. Last year at this time I was favourite to get sacked by Christmas.

“So you kinda know that things change pretty quickly in the game. And what’s most important is that I have a real massive responsibility to bring as much success as this football club as I can.

“And I know if I do that I’ll be in a good space for me professionally and personally I’ll be in a good space. That’s what I want.”

Straight down the line interview with straight down the line answers. The Scottish media could learn a thing or two

  1. The difference is that Ange doesn’t have enemies in the Oz media, whereas here 99.9999% of the SMSM were /are enemies from the day he took the job…
