Yeah it was always looking likely to happen wasn’t it?
As I wrote this morning, it is probably best that Chris Jullien found an out from Celtic and as news broke that interest in the Frenchman was real with Schalke, Rennes and Lorient all looking to get a hold of the defender, Jullien really sealed his fate with his media outburst last month.
The deal is done and with an option to buy, this looks like a ‘cutting your losses’ move by the club as there is little scope of the club looking to recoup anywhere near the £7m shelled out for him over three seasons ago.
Here’s hoping Jullien finds happiness in Germany as his time in Scotland draws to a close.
