“That sounds like it’s happening” – BT pundit makes exciting transfer claims

Here we go!

Unfortunately it’s not Fabrizio Romano but this is the best I could get. A pound shop Ekrem Konur is probably how best to describe this one.

Speaking on Go Radio, Stephen Craigan was talking Celtic transfers when he spoke of where he believes the club should be looking to strengthen this summer and what he thinks about the long term running saga of Celtic signing Jota.

On the show, Craigan said, “This is where it becomes important for Ange Postecoglou. If they can get rid of four or five fringe players, and he’s looking probably to bring in two or three established ones.

They always say strengthen from a position of power. And that’s exactly where Celtic are at this moment in time. I think they need two centre halves. Carter-Vickers, if he has to get him, plus another one.

There’s enough midfield players. There’s enough centre forwards and attacking players. Jota is one you’d probably like to get in. That sounds like it’s happening. So you wonder is he brave enough to go for one more? Does he go for another wide player?

So considering were Celtic were last summer and the major surgery the squad required. They’re in a position where they can pick and choose who they get they can probably leave it a little bit later if they have to.”

It’s unlikely we’ll hear anything on Jota until the early part of next week due to the amount of internationals and the holiday break but, you would like to think, that no news is good news?
