Australian media’s outstanding trolling of Gerrard as Ange prepares for final

With Ange Postecoglou ready to lead out Celtic for the first time in a major cup final, in the six months the Aussie has been in charge of the club, he has kept the club within touching distance of the top of the league and got us to the first major final of the season.

If you had predicted that at the start of his tenure, you probably would have been laughed out of the city.

And with that, he ahs already trumped the former Sevco media darling, Steven Gerrard.

Gerrard spent fortunes in Glasgow trying to wrestle the title from Celtic’s grasp and as he looked meekly from the sidelines as the Hoops picked up treble after treble, all he has to show for *Rangers’ losses and millions drained from the club is one solitary trophy.

Many of them would argue that it is the only trophy that mattered but if you were to offer me the last years success again and no guarantee of ten in a row, I would take that every. Single. Time.

KEEPUP is an Australian football magazine and it led this morning with a brilliant tweet celebrating Ange Postecoglou and trolling Steven Gerrard.

A great combination.

With the biggest match of the season looming, Ange is on the verge of history. And who’s to say that if he picks up the trophy today, another treble could be on…………..
