Marco Molla was the one Japanese based journalist that first brought you the Reo Hatate and Daizen Maeda to Celtic story first.
So when he talks Celtic transfers or moves that involve our club, I tend to sit up and take notice.
And this one is now starting to gain momentum.
Giorgos Giakoumakis has been linked with a move away from Celtic since the beginning of the World Cup.
With the big Greek striker knocking back a new contract in December, the rumours that he could be set to depart Paradise have been plentiful and some would say fanciful.
But this latest from Molla could have the Celtic fans thinking that a move away may not be as far off as first thought:
Translated: “Celtic striker Giakoumakis has been linked with Sampdoria, Germany, Russia and several MLS clubs.”
Quote tweeting an ‘exclusive’ from a journalist that claims Sampdoria are now in the mix for the Hoops star, Molla did also break the news that Urawa Reds were in for the hitman earlier in the month:
I guess we just have to play the waiting game now but it does seem that with this particular transfer story, there is no smoke without fire.
