Ibrox fansite makes two bizarre Celtic claims

On their way to Paradise

Ok, I am a Celtic fan and I see thinks through Celtic lenses. There is no denying that.

But what I also believe is that I am also honest when it comes to the assessment of the team.

And that is something that seems to elude the Ibrox bloggers. Now, I am not saying that they are dishonest, what I am saying is that they tend to make claims that cannot be backed up with facts or evidence.

One fansite wrote this nonsense.

Beale knows this Celtic team are beatable and if his team performs to their recent levels they stand a good chance.

Let’s take it at face value. Beale does know this, but not by his team. His team failed to take three points, at home, in a must win game when we were floored by a sickness bug and had a makeshift left back in Juranovic who’s head was clearly elsewhere.

It will be intriguing to see how the Light Blues line up on Sunday afternoon. New signings Todd Cantwell and Nicolas Raskin could well be given their first taste of the Old Firm. Both players clearly have the ability to make an impact against Postecoglou’s men.

Do they really? What exactly is he basing that opinion on?

Cantwell played 20 times last season for two different clubs with zero goals and assists. In fact, over his FIVE seasons with Norwich he made 124 appearances scoring just 14 goals and creating 12.

Hardly defence scaring form.

And Raskin? Over four seasons at Standard Liege, 96 appearances, 5 goals and 13 assists. The season before that? He played seven minutes for Gent.

For context, Jota has made 70 appearances for Celtic, scored 22 and created 22.

Like I said, don’t make claims you can’t back up because you will end up looking foolish. Or deluded.
