“Horrendous player” – Celtic fans are delighted with Anthony Joseph’s latest transfer update

Celtic’s latest transfer update from Sky Sports’ Anthony Joseph has been given a massive thumbs up from the fans.

On loan Liverpool defender, Nat Phillips, is said to be heading back to the EPL after a disastrous spell at Parkhead saw him make just eight appearances for the club.

Phillips came to Celtic with a decent pedigree and was clearly picked by Brendan Rodgers to come in and do a job while we got over our injury crisis.

But now, the end is near as Anthony Joseph put an update out on the social media channel, X.

Joseph tweeted, “Celtic are not expected to extend the loan deal for Liverpool centre-back Nat Phillips.

“He joined on a short-term loan, as emergency cover for injuries to CCV, Maik Nawrocki & Stephen Welsh.

“Phillips has made just 4 starts for Celtic, plus another 4 appearances off the bench.”

Phillips was seriously found out as he struggled to make any sort of material impact during his time at Celtic and as the announcement was made, these fans made their feelings perfectly clear on what they thought about him.

Hopefully Celtic can now invest the reported £24k p/w they are handing over to Phillips to add some real quality to the squad in January because it’s fair to say they we are going to need it.
