Graeme Souness is a bitter wee man.
Imagine getting to his age with his ‘standing’ in the game to turn to punditry and flush that reputation as a Liverpool, Rangers and Scotland legend down the pan just to make headlines.
Because that is exactly what he has done.
Hi comments about our club and Scottish football in general are designed to appeal to footballs lowest common denominators.
The English media and Rangers fans.
Souness was not long braying like a donkey on Talksport about us in the Champions League in attack borne of pain at watching his own club embarrass themselves and him in Europe.
Next up is his comments on VAR. And, for me, his credibility as an impartial pundit is gone with these comments.
Speaking on BBC Scotland via The Sun, Souness said, “They [Rangers] have lost the games against Celtic which puts them [Celtic] in a very good position.
“But they [Celtic] have got away with a couple of very interesting VAR decisions.
“It could have been a very different story if they had gone against them.”
Interestingly he didn’t elaborate on exactly what we had gotten away with.
His bitter blue specs wouldn’t even allow him to see the injustices we have been on the receiving end of with VAR whilst completing ignoring the ones his club got away with.
Souness is turning into a washed up hack trying to stay relevant with these idiotic comments.
He’s doing his, already laughable, career no good by playing up to this kind of audience.
