I’m pretty sure I’ve written a couple of times on this site at how Transfermarkt should be avoided for player valuations.
The only thing this site is decent for is player stats and that is about it.
Even the figures they hold on their database for well publicised transfers are wrong.
For example, Kyogo is reported to have signed for us for £5.4m on the site. Swap the numbers around lads.
And they seem to have added on an extra £500k to the transfer fees of Carl Starfelt and Josip Juranovic.
Don’t get me started on what they have said about French Eddie or Christopher Jullien’s fees.
However, their latest tweet last night took the biscuit:
Many Celtic fans highlighted the fact that Josip Juranovic wasn’t on the list and to be fair to the site, they did say it was about players who DIDN’T feature at this years World Cup.
But still. Look at the state of that list. Kent and Morelos who can leave for free given ridiculous valuations whilst Callum McGregor who has won numerous medals at Celtic and is captain if the club is worth just £550k more than Lundstram.
Absolute red neck.
