The logistical circus surrounding the Glasgow Derby has rolled back into town, and as usual, the decision-makers at Ibrox are scrambling to keep their own house in order.
When Celtic demanded 7,500 tickets for the Ibrox clash, the bears were fuming.
And in a move that reeed of desperation that was designed to keep the peace with angry Ibrox fans, the powers-that-be across the city have took a rather desperate step to appease their disgruntled season ticket holders.
With the Broomloan stand being cleared to make way for the Hoops faithful, the Ibrox club found a way to buy their silence, and it now looks foolish after Celtic beat Rangers in the penalty shoot-out.
Rangers fans promised ‘guaranteed’ Scottish Cup tickets after Celtic clash
Rangers fans on the CCCS ticket initiative (similar to Celtic’s Home Cup ticket Scheme) were sent an email before the Celtic game promising them “GUARANTEED” tickets for both the semi-final and the final of the competition.
As a Broomloan ST holder on CCCS I’m extremely pissed off. However the email I just received from Rangers is uplifting.
“Those affected by the move for the upcoming match v Celtic are GUARANTEED a ticket for the semi final and final”.
Nice touch by the club.

It was a bold move for a club essentially selling vouchers for a party they haven’t been invited to yet.
It seems an “uplifting” email is all it takes to turn Ibrox fury into compliance—provided you believe the trophies are already in the bag.
Rangers fans buy into hype as Celtic supporters focus on success
From a Celtic perspective, this little bribe sets a curious precedent. While the Hoops faithful would rather see fair treatment and proper allocations across the board, watching our rivals hand out “guaranteed” final tickets before a ball has even been kicked in the quarters is the kind of hubris we’ve come to expect.
It’s another moment of club-to-fan desperation that highlights one thing: they will do anything to pander to the Ibrox fanbase, which makes Sunday’s shameful Ibrox scenes even more understandable now.

Will this affect our and St Mirren Cup semi Final as Rangers 2012 have promised their fans tickets . Imagine having h.ns fans in Hampden without the team of cheats . We will soon find out if Mr Cavanagh is a decent & proper person to own a football club , or is he just King and the other bigots
If the SFA and Scottish police act properly ( there is always a first) after the riotous bad tempered invasion by h.ns after match , SFA will just have to ban Rangers 2012 fans from Scottish Domestic football for approximately 10 games . This means only Celtic fans at the final Glasgow Derby fixture
