The fallout from Sunday’s explosive 2-2 draw at Ibrox has between Celtic and Rangers moved from the pitch to social media, as Simon Houston mocked the BBC’s Tom English in a heated exchange over the Hoops’ title credentials.
The Celtic draw caused Rangers fan pain on Follow Follow, and after a brilliant comeback from 2-0 down, English sparked a backlash by suggesting the Hoops had lost ground on league leaders Hearts.
A draw at Ibrox has damaged Celtic’s title chances. Righto Tom

Houston was quick to fire back, eventually dismissing English’s take as “weird behaviour” and mockingly suggesting he return his focus to rugby.
Here is how the conversation went on social media channel X.
Tom English’ bizarre Rangers jibe as Houston backs Celtic
English went on a strange rant as Houston called out his tweets and the BBC man looks rather foolish after this exchange:
What an odd thing to say.

English: “You’ve lost ground in the title race.”
Houston: “Ask Martin O’Neill if he thinks a draw at Ibrox (with the best part of three months to go) has “damaged Celtic’s title chances”.
English: “You’ve lost ground on the league leader. Not sure if you’re too caught up in your rivalry with Rangers and your celebration of not losing today to notice.”
Houston: “My goodness this is weird behaviour, Tom. Get a good night’s sleep and perhaps focus on the rugby again from tomorrow.”
And to end the clamping, Houston signed of with this brilliant dismissal:
Ok Tom 😂👍

This was a rather bizarre exchange and, to be honest, English did himself no favours with his strange tweeting pattern yesterday. That is something we will get on to later.
With Celtic now eight points behind Hearts at the top of the Scottish Premiership table with nine games to go, there is plenty of time for Martin O’Neil to turn this around.
Especially with Hearts and Rangers to come after the top-six split.
