Celtic’s defeat to Hibs should have focused fan media’s gaze straight at the Parkhead board.
Martin O’Neill’s first domestic defeat as the Celtic manager meant that the Hoops now sit six points behind Hearts and two behind Rangers in the Scottish Premiership table.

However, instead of focusing on the result, the performance and the fact the SFA appointed officials stuck it to Celtic on three occasions in 90 minutes, this media outlet decided to focus on four Celtic fans attending the game.

Their crime. Accepting a gift of hospitality from a friend who also wants change at Celtic, in a pre-paid hospitality box while being a part of the Celtic Fans Collective.
And their thoughts on the fact that Celtic’s defeat to Hibs leaves Martin O’Neill’s title hopes almost in tatters? Nothing. Not a peep. There was only one thing on this person’s mind.
But this hatchet job completely backfired.
Celtic fans reject hatchet piece on Hoops supporters
Let’s get one thing clear, the four lads were not ‘guests’ of Celtic. They were not in the director’s box being regailed by Dermot Desmond and his stories of lording it over the Celtic board.
They attended the game as fans, as the Collective have always encouraged supporters to do, and were allowed to do so in the hospitality section.
Responding to this fan media outlet’s tweet, Celtic supporters shot down this ridiculous narrative.
Firstly, whoever wrote the piece wrongly accused podcasters A Celtic World for being one of the attendees:
Nice to be name-checked in the article but wee mistake there – no-one from A Celtic World in the pic. Most of us are 1000s of miles away…
— A Celtic World (@ACelticWorld) February 23, 2026
If anyone wants to offer me a seat in box on a game with no boycott when I'm in the islands off northern Europe I'd be delighted!
😘
So much for a simple fact-check. But the criticism didn’t stop there. @CMack659 replied, “Embarrassing article……and there you have it other fans having a meltdown over a picture.
“Forget the bigger picture let’s go after other supporters. The board will be loving this.”
This next Celtic fan didn’t hold back:
Like some of the other celtic fans that attack the collective, the GB and the Bhoys at every opportunity I believe you and them are motivated through nothing but jealousy of something that is bigger than you.

@TheTerraceViews made a great point and replied, “Start doing these hit pieces on the people at the top of the club that deserve the criticism.”
Celtic fan @drunktankpinkk said, “Stop writing distractions from the real issue, which is the board.”
Going by that logic, the stadium should be empty then.

@Fromk__ had a great response and it was quite apt as the reply went, “Is this a Dermot burner account?”
— Tedious Sarcasm. (@TediousSarcasm) February 23, 2026
@FiPotts2000 nailed it with this reply, “You aren’t angry at them going, you’re angry that they got hospitality.
“The obsession with prawn sandwiches is mental.
“It’s the hospitality bit that annoys you. You are obsessed with poverty porn and think that hospitality is against the working class, that’s it.”
And finally, the most important message that the site appears to have forgotten after Celtic’s title defence hit the skids:
