The mystery surrounding a pre-match collection at Celtic Park has been cleared up.
Earlier today, the Green Brigade issued a rallying cry for Celtic supporters to donate toward legal fees for fellow fan group Bhoys Celtic.
Before today's match, Bhoys Celtic will be doing a collection around the stadium to support their legal fees.

While the initial request left many fans questioning the specific cause, Bhoys Celtic have now confirmed the funds are destined for legal costs stemming from Celtic’s Europa League clash with Bologna.
Bhoys Celtic’s ‘issues in Bologna’ behind Green Brigade request
The collection, taking place around the stadium perimeters ahead of this afternoon’s kick-off against Hibernian, follows a period of intense scrutiny regarding fan conduct during European nights.
The Bologna match, held earlier this season, was a standout result for the Hoops on the pitch, but it appears the fallout from off-field incidents has led to ongoing legal challenges for certain members of the Celtic support.
Bhoys Celtic said in Instagram, “LEGAL FEE COLLECTION. WE WILL BE RUNNING A BUCKET COLLECTION AT SUNDAY’S MATCH VS HIBERNIAN.
“IN THE INTERESTS OF TRANSPARENCY, FUNDS COLLECTED WILL BE USED TO HELP COVER THE LARGE BILL FOR A NUMBER OF LEGAL ISSUES RELATED TO OUR RECENT TRIP TO BOLOGNA.
“AS A GROUP, WE CONSISTENTLY AIM TO INVEST OUR TIME, FUNDS AND ENERGY INTO PROACTIVELY SUPPORTING THE TEAM AND THE ABILITY TO COVER THE AFOREMENTIONED FEES WILL ALLOW US TO CONTINUE TO DO SO.

The unified effort between the Green Brigade (North Curve) and Bhoys Celtic demonstrates a continued pact of solidarity within the club’s “ultras” section.
However, exactly what these legal fees are needed for still remains a mystery and the request by the Green Brigade did not go down well on X.
Despite various club-enforced restrictions and UEFA fines throughout the 2025/26 campaign, these groups remain committed to self-funding their legal defences through the generosity of the matchday support.
For fans heading to Paradise today, expect to see volunteers in high-visibility vests collecting until just before the 3:00 PM whistle.
