How Celtic defender Liam Scales ‘went for’ Kilmarnock’s Findlay Curtis

Celtic’s battling win over Kilmarnock certainly had Liam Scales looking to settle some scores on Sunday.

Scales was unhappy at full-time with Kilmarnock’s on loan Rangers midfielder Findlay Curtis’ conduct during Celtic’s win at Rugby Park and the Irishman immediately made his feelings clear at the final whistle.

As news outlets reported on the clash between the two players, a Celtic fan who witnessed it detailed in no uncertain terms what Curtis did that annoyed Scales so much he gave it to the Kilmarnock player and manager, Neil McCann, in spades.

Curtis was caught giving Celtic fans abuse as Kilmarnock’s second goal trickled into the back of the net.

And it was that which annoyed Scales as the RGC – A Celtic Podcast discussed Scales taking Curtis to task at full time.

The boys on the RGC – A Celtic Podcast said, “A fantastic victory. We dug it out, Scales made straight for McCann and that [Findlay] Curtis, who’d been giving it big style at the two goals… he made sure he ran into the net and gave the Celtic fans some stick.

“So Scales went for him at the end of the game, and Curtis ran just straight to McCann, [bottled it], and Scales was giving him, McCann, plenty of it too.

“I wish he would do that to the players in the park, because [his performance] was shocking.

“But an absolutely fantastic result kept us in the league race”
