Rangers manager Danny Rohl is fuming with the Ibrox support as Celtic title pressute mounts.

Celtic title pressure mounts as Danny Rohl reacts to booing Rangers fans

As Celtic, Hearts and Rangers battle it out for the Scottish Premiership title, Danny Rohl has hit back at the Ibrox support after their win over Kilmarnock last night.

The Rangers boss climbs above Celtic in the league after the Parkhead club’s game with Aberdeen at Pittodrie was called off.

As Celtic wait for the fixture be rearranged, the Rangers boss was fuming with the Ibrox supporters for booing his team off the park at half-time.

Leading 1-0 and struggling to break down a 10-man Kilmarnock, Rangers eventually won 5-1 to leapfrog Celtic boss Martin O’Neill’s side into second place.

But Rohl could not hide his anger as it appears the pressure of chasing Celtic, who now have a game in hand, and Hearts for the title is starting to mount.

Rohl said, “Yeah, I’ll be honest with you, I couldn’t understand this.

Rohl ‘really surprised’ at Ibrox fans as Rangers try to beat Celtic to the title

The Ibrox boss was speaking after the 5-1 win and after hearing the boos, Rohl didn’t hold back.

Rohl said, “I love our fans but today I was really surprised.

“Over the last couple of weeks we’ve spoken about ‘we’. We want to be together. We need the crowd.

“We led very early in the first half but I was really surprised [by the tension in the stands].

“But it’s my job then to give my players the right feeling for this game, the right instruction.

“In some moments we forget which position we were in 10 weeks ago. It was not me, it was my group who came from 13 points down to now just three points.

“Maybe this deserves sometimes a little bit of positive energy. We try to influence our fans.

“I’ve learned a lot in the last three months about the club, about the demands.

“In some moments I can understand, in some moments I can’t agree.

“But let’s do it together as a ‘we’, and if you do it as a ‘we’ it’s much more fun and you can enjoy it because if you score after four minutes, I think it’s not a bad opener in such a game.

“Let’s go in one direction together until the end – if we do this then maybe we have a great finish.”
