What Dermot Desmond and Celtic have said about the media’s attack on Wilfried Nancy compared to the anti-establishment fan media

Make no mistake, Wilfried Nancy is under attack at Celtic and the club need to take action.

Dermot Desmond and Co were quick to take action against fan media as every outlet joined the Celtic Fans Collective to take action against the Parkhead board.

Desmond was also quick to publicly criticise ex-Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers through the club’s official website after the Northern Irishman left the Bhoys with criticism still ringing in the board’s ears about transfers.

And then there was Ross Desmond’s astonishing attack on Celtic supporters as Dermot’s boy shook like a leaf delivering his daddy’s message about the big, bad bullies that are the anti-establishment Celtic supporters.

So when the wagons of criticism circle around the Celtic board, they are quick to act in their own best interests, so surely when it comes to protecting their manager during a concerted national media campaign against Wilfried Nancy, they must have something to say, right?

Let’s see how the club has responded compared to Celtic fan media.

Celtic’s silence as fan media defends Wilfried Nancy is shameful

Celtic threw the toys out the pram and banned fan media from attending press conferences because of their action against the board.

So when the national media are in the midst of an onslaught on Nancy, let’s see what action the Celtic fan media have taken to defend the new boss.

My good friend James Forrest at The Celtic Blog slapped down Sam Allardyce, you know, the guy sacked by England after just one game for some dodgy alleged under the table dealings, for his daft rant about the Celtic manager.

Celtics Are Here sent a reminder about the Daily Record allowing a disgraceful attack on Nancy:

67 Hail Hail also called out Ryan Stevenson’s nonsense as well:

And that is just three outlets off the top of our heads.

As for Celtic, their silence is palpable but not unsurprising because when a real attack is happening to one of our own, our club’s silence is a disgrace.

The one major positive to come out of all this is as least Celtic fans will unite together around Nancy.

As for the board, well, they’ll come out with this with the credit they entered it with. None.

Let other Celtic fans know your thoughts on this all things to do with the Bhoys!
