Police Scotland have announced that four arrests have been made in connection to a ‘disturbance’ at Celtic Park on the 29th of October.
The arrests appear to be in connection to Celtic banning the Green Brigade for an alleged assault on a steward and two police officers.
Well, that was according to Celtic’s statement. which said, “During our match against Falkirk on Wednesday, October 29, a member of our Matchday staff while conducting a routine ticket check at the front of the Rail Seating Section at Celtic Park was assaulted by an individual. Two police officers intervened and attempted to arrest the individual in question.
“This large group verbally abused and assaulted the steward and police officers, one male and one female, in a confined space and at one point there was a risk of one of the officers being pulled to the ground and trampled in amongst the larger group. The action taken by members of the Green Brigade group prevented the arrest of the individual in question.”
Now, it seems that Police Scotland have caught up with the individuals in question after a statement released on their Facebook page raises more questions about what happened that night at Celtic Park.
Police Scotland announce ‘four further arrests’ after Celtic Park ‘disturbance’
We told how Police Scotland carried out a dawn raid on a Celtic supporter and left his house turned upside down with a sick parent left to fend for himself.
The story now takes a twist after the constabulary released a statement today.
On a post on Facebook, Police Scotland said, “Four further arrests have been made in connection with a disturbance at Celtic Park in Glasgow which happened on Wednesday, 29 October, 2025.
“The incident happened within the ground at the fixture against Falkirk. A 31-year-old man has now been arrested and charged in connection with the assault of a steward.
“Three other men, aged 29, 27 and 23 have also been arrested and charged in connection with the incident and all four men are due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court in February 2026.
“Further enquiries remain ongoing and anyone with information or video footage should contact Police Scotland, using reference 2196 on Wednesday, 29 October, 2025.”
So the arrests were made but with no mention of the assault on the police officers which was claimed by Celtic.
Why not? And why make a plea for video footage when the Celtic Park concourse has, apparently, got plenty of their own CCTV cameras?
If this is in fact true, then of course this site does not condone violence, but something just doesn’t quite add up.
