What Celtic did to the family of the young child who was ‘dragged’ by stewards at Parkhead is disgraceful

The Celtic board are coming under increasing pressure tidy after the Green Brigade’s latest post.

The Celtic Ultras posted a video of a steward at Parkhead dragging a child around the concourse as other stewards looked on and did nothing.

It was a horrific piece of footage that all Celtic supporters should condemn, especially from a board that Ross Desmond embarrassingly claimed they have been bullied by the Hoops fans.

The family of the young fan have been in touch with Celtic about the incident and what the club have done is an absolute disgrace.

Celtic didn’t just ignore one complaint from young fan’s family

the Green Brigade have published on social media what Celtic did as the family made not one, but two complaints about the incident.

The statement from the Green Brigade on X read, “The family of the child in question submitted two complaints to Celtic FC and received no response to either.

“Just like the ignored feedback from the GB, this speaks to the deep culture concern around treatment of and respect for fans, particularly in this area of the ground.

“This is one recorded example of mistreatment of a minor. There are endless examples of similar poor treatment of fans of all ages in and around the Standing Section and it exists because there is an inherent lack of care and respect for fans from the boardroom to the police.”

Green Brigade tell Celtic to stop recruiting police officers with ‘history of targeting’ fans

The Ultras have been highlighting problems with policing at Celtic as the Green Brigade urge the club to stop hiring ex-police officers.

The statement continued, “This culture will only improve when Celtic FC stops recruiting police officers with history of targeting, harassing and criminalising fans and their families; and properly engages with fans to rebuild trust and cooperation instead of actively working against them.

“The safe management of the Standing Section is very simple but the most important component missing is the fans. Whether it be NCC, GB or an alternative rep or body – fans must have meaningful input in order to improve this culture and mitigate risks.

“NCC and Green Brigade reps have consistently made this point to Celtic FC but been ignored.”

It’s absolutely clear that that when it comes to bullying, Celtic have got a far different version of it than the fans do.
