What a day it has been for Paul John Dykes after the award-winning podcaster schooled Jamie O’Hara on Celtic.
Paul John regularly appears on Sky Sports to fight Celtic’s corner against the arrogance of English pundits but today, one seriously met their match.
Jamie O’Hara is one such pundit who generally hides behind his talkSPORT microphone to take pops at Celtic but this morning on Sky Sports, the failed Spurs footballer was handed his backside.
O’Hara was humiliated on Celtic by Paul John as the talkSPORT man tried to belittle Celtic at every opportunity as he does on his late night radio show.
And O’Hara’s performance was so bad, Sky Sports pulled the clip from all it’s socials.
So we decided to contact Paul John to get his thoughts on the debate and how O’Hara handled himself on the conversation about Celtic.
Jamie O’Hara roasted for ‘belittling Celtic and Scottish football’
We published and tweeted the story this afternoon so decided to follow this up and ask our good friend on his thoughts on the furore over the interview Sky Sports pulled.
Paul John exclusively told Born Celtic, “Whilst I appreciate that many Celtic supporters don’t trust the mainstream media and don’t like fans engaging with them, I do believe that we should be part of the conversation. Otherwise, ill-informed pundits with no knowledge or respect for Celtic or Scottish football will set their own narrative.

Outstanding from @ACSOMPOD and @PaulJohnDykes 👏👏👏https://t.co/FcAc5dMBMn
“When I was asked to discuss Celtic’s next manager on Sky Sports, I was only too happy to cover what is the biggest talking point in Scottish football right now.
“Rather than focus on the reported candidates, Jamie O’Hara was determined to spend the ten-minute slot belittling Celtic and Scottish football as a whole.
“I find his opinion of our game predictable and from a place of sheer arrogance at the best of times, but he outdone himself this morning.
“Trying to convince himself that no one of any note would consider the Celtic job was only trumped by his assertion that Stockport County would win the Scottish Premiership!”
‘Deluded’ Jamie O’Hara condemned for Celtic ‘shock jock’ tactics
O’Hara is best ignored at the best of times by Celtic supporters and, at worst, must be mocked when he talks absolute nonense.
And that is exactly what Paul John continued to do as he criticised O’Hara’s ‘shock jock’ tactics on Sky Sports.
Paul John continued, “These ‘shock Jock’ tactics just lowered the tone of the conversation and I’m not sure if he did it for clicks or if he’s genuinely that deluded.
“Celtic haven’t been great this season, but it’s merely a moment in time.
“Celtic fans are the first to highlight our club’s deficiencies, we certainly don’t need pundits with a predetermined contempt for the Scottish game to lecture us on where we could do better.”
It was a great piece of content that can be viewed above and one that has already earned Paul John plenty of plaudits from Celtic fans.
