Glasgow Rangers fans fighting each other after a Celtic defeat

Major Rangers fan group release hilarious ‘angry’ Russell Martin statement days before Celtic game

The Glasgow Derby week piles pressure on both Celtic and Rangers.

And the build-up to this one has seen nothing like it before for any Rangers and Celtic manager.

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers is coming under scrutiny for his comments about the board yesterday as he inexplicably said that the Parkhead suits ‘bleed’ for the club.

Listen to this nonsense:

Absolute garbage and has done himself nonfavours at all, especially after Celtic’s defeat to Kairat.

And then there is the new Rangers. That basket case of a club has been providing Celtic fans with plenty of laughs this week.

The best was on Wednesday night after Club Brugge humiliated Rangers 9-1 on aggregate in the Champions League.

And it was that result that sparked this superb meltdown on social media by the Rangers Fan Advisory Board.

Rangers Fan Advisory Board want Russell Martin sacked after Celtic game

Poor Russell, not only is he getting it stinking of Celtic supporters, Rangers fan groups are also now calling for his head.

The RFAB posted on X, “We share the anger and frustration of our fellow supporters following the debacle in Bruges, which is the latest in a line of unacceptable results and performances under the tenure of Russell Martin.

“Even this early, it is clear to see he is failing to build a Rangers team we would recognise as authentic, with a squad that is lacking in the fundamentals any supporter has the right to expect – organisation, physicality, hunger and desire, as well as enterprise and endeavour at both ends of the park.

“This is in stark contrast to the football philosophy we were promised – dominant football, aggressive pressing and relentless work off the ball, none of which has materialised.

“Irrespective of the result on Sunday, it is clear to us the manager should be replaced as a matter of urgency before our justified anger gives way to apathy. We appreciate the size of the task the manager took on and the number of new players introduced this summer, but Rangers is about winning consistently and we are not doing that often enough, nor showing credible signs that will change anytime soon.

“Whilst we appreciate the significant amount of change required at the club the board must commit to a new manager who understands and accepts the standards that have been set by our successful teams in the past – and can deliver on them.”

I mean that club has won three trophies since it was born 13 years ago so quite where this ‘successful teams of the past’ nonsense comes from is anyone’s guess.

If Celtic beat Rangers tomorrow the meltdown will be glorious and after watching them midweek and rumours of an Ibrox dressing room mutiny abound, this could be another Beautiful Sunday for the Hoops support.

Our multi millionaire manager telling us the multi millionaire board members are bleeding for the club, makes me think that Brendan is in Dermot Despots pocket or he’s deflecting from his own failures. The only thing that board bleed is our fans
