Who is Shin Yamada, the man tipped to be Kyogo Furuhashi’s replacement at Celtic

Shin Yamada arrived at Celtic in the summer of 2025 and was signed by Brendan Rodgers.

Yamada left Kawasaki Frontale and joined Celtic, becoming the club’s seventh summer signing. He has already earned praise for his performances in the J1 League and also impressed in the Hoops’ pre-season fixtures.

A product of the Japanese youth system, he has represented his country from U17 level right through to the senior national side.

Now at Celtic, hopes are high from the fans that the 22-year-old forward may well be the replacement for Kyogo Furuhashi fans have been waiting for.
