Celtic fans roast what the Parkhead social media team said about Adam Idah’s sitter vs Sporting Lisbon

Celtic had a decent first half against Sporting Lisbon tonight.

Benjamin Nygren looked sharp and dangerous, James Forrest caused problems on the right wing and young Dane Murray impressed in the Celtic back four.

Sporting Lisbon are the current Portuguese champions and would provide Brendan Rodgers’ side a sterner test than Estrela da Amadora did last week.

As both teams went in at the break level at 0-0 Celtic did have three clear chances to take the lead and both were spurned by Adam Idah.

But it was the second of those chances that the Celtic striker should be embarrassed about after a pin-point Kieran Tierney cross found the Irishman just three yards in front of the Sporting goal.

Idah missed the sitter as he misjudged the flight of the ball and the Celtic social media tried to spare his blushes with their summation of the miss.

No sooner had Idah missed the sitter than the Celtic social media team tweeted this out on X, “Slick pass from Tierney slices the defence, Idah times his run perfectly, but it’s a sharp stop from the keeper!”

Don’t know what game they were watching but the Celtic support were not having it.

Celtic fans are not daft. They know a poor miss when they see one and Idah was not getting off the hook.

Another fan said, “It was not a sharp stop idahs foot was closer to wunderbar than the ball.”

Look, it’s a preseason friendly so it really doesn’t matter that much but don’t try and kid the Celtic supporters on, they are not stupid.
