Celtic have a huge financial start on Rangers regardless if the San Francisco 49ers take over the Ibrox club.
The sheer size of Celtic Park means that the Parkhead coffers are swelled to the tune of multi-millions of pounds over Rangers before a ball has been kicked every season.
Fergus McCann is the man Celtic supporters owe that advantage to after the legendary former owner future-proofed the club for decades to ensure they stayed miles ahead of Rangers.
But now, it seems the current Parkhead board are also looking to make further improvements of the stadium as Phil Mac Giolla Bhain shares what he’s been told about Celtic’s expansion plan and an issue the San Francisco 49ers have found with Rangers’ revenue streams.

Celtic’s south stand plan as Rangers ‘business plan’ issue arises for the 49ers
Phil has his finger on the pulse with both Glasgow clubs and it seems that there is positivity ahead for Celtic and possible misery in store for Rangers.
In his latest blog, Phil said, “In recent weeks, I have received convincing information from several sources that the wealthiest club in Scotland is exploring options for upgrading and expanding the south stand.
“If Celtic makes an official announcement about this, it would undoubtedly factor into the American consortium’s due diligence process. I’m told that they’ve already discovered things about the Sevco operation that they weren’t expecting regarding revenue streams.
“Essentially, their business plan requires regular participation in the Champions League. That becomes much easier if they are SPFL champions.
“Now, I can see their problem right there.”
Celtic’s finances are in great shape whereas Rangers’ debt is well documented.
If Celtic do add thousands more seats to the south stand then it would keep them so far ahead of Rangers it won’t matter a jot what the American consortium do if their planned takeover of Rangers really does go ahead.
