Celtic fans tell the BBC they have a big problem now Rangers make managerial appointment

Rangers have appointed Barry Ferguson as their interim manager in a dream appointment that only Celtic fans could have wished for.

Rangers sacked Philippe Clement after the Belgian lost against Queen’s Park in the Scottish Cup and then again fell further behind Celtic after St Mirren battered them at Ibrox.

The Ibrox club are in disarray and with Ferguson on board until the end of the season and Rangers forking out a fortune for Clement, Celtic fans will be looking forward to what the next weeks will bring.

But for the BBC, they have a major problem now as Celtic fans pointed out after Ferguson’s backroom team was appointed.

Celtic fans rejoiced at the news Ferguson was appointed the interim Rangers boss and the news that he will be joined by Billy Dodds, Neil McCann and Alan McGregor made it even better.

Which posed a huge question:

Another Celtic fan said, “Sportscene in dire straits as their entire punditry team goes to pastures new. A time for some new Rangers pundits to make their mark on the first team.” as another put, “Least at will keep that tosser McCann off Sportscene and fellow wa-kpot Dodds.”

One Celtic fan pointed out a shoo-in for the job, “With sportscene now out of “pundits”, whos gonna spring up now on there? Alex Rae a cert.” Please let that be true as another said, “Go Radio, Sportscene and the local pub all looking for new staff today. Brendan must be shaking in his boots (once he stops laughing of course).”

It’s been a superb 48 hours for the Celtic supporters and it seems like the next few months are going to be just as good.
