Daizen Maeda’s League Cup penalty winner for Celtic was hardly a thing of beauty as the Japanese winger broke Rangers’ hearts at Hampden.
Celtic beat Rangers on spot kicks to lift the League Cup after neither side took advantage in extra time and played out. 3-3 draw.

It sparked off scenes of jubilation for the Celtic fans as the Parkhead club became Scotland’s most successful club.
For the Rangers fans, however, the breakdown they have suffered has been palpable.
Rangers fan’s Hampden meltdown after Celtic won the League Cup
From blaming Celtic ‘Catholic cheats’ to having a full blown meltdown on Follow Follow, the best thing I’ve seen so far is this superb footage from Hoops fans right beside thousands of raging Bears reacting when Maeda scored the winning penalty.
Have a watch of this:
Gutted, raging, dejected and just downright facing the reality that Celtic are miles ahead of them, these Rangers fans headed home facing a grim reality.
The painter and decorators need called in at Ibrox because that mural they have on the inside and outside of their dilapidated stadium makes them look dafter than they already are.
