Kyle Lafferty was a former Sevco/Rangers player who gave Celtic fans some really good laughs over the years. And not just because of his ridiculous mullet.
The Northern Irishman was done for sectarian hatred against a Celtic fan when he was at Kilmarnock and it is a bad day when you need to agree with Hugh Keevins’ assessment of Lafferty’s hatred as his pals in the media tried to excuse it.
Well, let’s see them try to excuse this as the ex-Sevco player was caught on camera with a wild tackle in a Junior game against Auchinleck Talbot this week.
Have a watch of this:
Of course, this isn’t the first time Lafferty has embarrassed himself on a football pitch. We all remember him feigning injury against Aberdeen after he claimed to have been headbutted as he got a fellow professional ordered off.
His antics against Celtic were not much better. You would think that at 36, this muppet would know better and grow up and act his age.
But with the ease at which he called a Celtic fan a fenian b-st-rd all those years ago, I reckon there is absolutely no chance of that.
I predict this won’t be the last act of foolishness we will see from Lafferty this season but the difference is that in the Junior Scottish leagues, they take no prisoners and we’ll see just how smart and brave the former Rangers man is then.
