Celtic fans’ superb responses after footage of ex-player admitting Rangers allegiances re-emerges after Scotland call up

Celtic have had a number of Rangers supporting players turn out in the green and white hoops over a number of decades.

Scott Brown was a Rangers fan growing up as was Greg Taylor.

It makes me dry boak but Kenny Miller is probably the biggest Rangers fan who wore the Hoops but like to pretend he didn’t even though he almost kissed the badge when he scored for Celtic against them.

However, it’s neither of these guys who are the centre of attention after being called up by Steve Clarke this week.

Celtic fans don’t care about Lewis Morgan

Lewis Morgan signed for Celtic during Brendan Rodgers’ first stint at the club.

Coming from St Mirren, the step up to the Glasgow giants was clearly a step too far and after struggling to make the breakthrough, Morgan has carved out a very good career in the MLS.

And now that he had been called up to the Scotland squad, this footage of him declaring his allegiance to Rangers has resurfaced.

Like I said, there have been a plethora of players that have turned out for Celtic after supporting Rangers as a boy.

The important thing to remember is that they may have come to Celtic as Rangers fans but the really successful players at the club didn’t leave as one.

And the response to the footage? I’ll let these Celtic fans deliver the message:

It’s a manufactured controversy that’s been rubbished by this Celtic fan:

And why was Morgan moved on?

This Celtic fan makes a great point:

Another fan saying he wasn’t good enough:

And to finish off:

Not a single Celtic fan cares that he supports Rangers. The only thing we cared about was is Lewis Morgan good enough to play for Celtic?

Unfortunately for him, he wasn’t. He was moved on and wished luck. The fact he supports Rangers is irrelevant. A bit like his time in Paradise.
