The four VAR penalties awarded to Rangers when they have struggled to keep up with Celtic

As Celtic remain four points clear at the top of the table, Rangers are now struggling to keep up with the title race after their loss at Ross County yesterday.

The Ibrox club succumbed to a 3-2 Dingwall defeat despite being handed another late penalty against The Staggies.

However, there have been other instances of VAR stepping in Rangers being awarded penalties at crucial stages of the season and, unsurprisingly, three of the penalty awards have been at Ibrox when the club looked devoid of ideas or out of the game.

Have a watch below:

Now to be fair to match officials yesterday, the Ross County penalty was the correct decision but the other three were highly contentious.

Ok, cards on the table, the other three were shocking decisions and it’s little wonder that Fabio Silva was at the heart of the Celtic and Motherwell penalties.

It’s just another example of the pattern of assistance that seems to follow the Ibrox club around wherever they go and it’s thanks to accounts like Lint, that these are continually highlighted to keep the spotlight on the SFA referees.

There is little doubt that with five games left (six for Rangers) there will be other decisions that will go for the Ibrox club.

Let’s just hope that they have no bearing on where the title ends up but you could argue that with the number they have had going for them, the title race has already been interfered with plenty of times this season.
