Match Day Celtic Park

Ben Doak’s fairytale continues

Young Ben Doak left Celtic innthr summer to pursue a career at Liverpool after becoming disillusioned with life at Celtic.

After spending too much time on the outside in the B team looking in, young Doak was courted by Jurgen Klopp and the rest, as they say, is history.

Ange Postecoglou made an admirable effort in trying to persuade the youngster to stay but being left in the dark during the Lennon years took a toll on him and by the time Ange gave him the attention he deserved, it was already too late.

Doak had made up his mind to leave Paradise and the second Klopp showed interest he was off.

After an exciting and excellent outing and helping the EPL side win the Dubai Cup, the next chapter in the Doak fairytale continues tonight.

He finds himself called up to the Liverpool first team for the Carabao Cup match against Man City:

It’s an incredible rise to stardom for a player that couldn’t get anywhere near the Celtic team before Ange came into the building.

We will rue the day we allowed Doak to leave Celtic. We will regret not giving him his opportunity at Paradise.

Good luck to the young man. He deserves every bit of success that comes his way.
