Match Day at Celtic Park

“He is someone who Celtic could get big money” – Tam McManus pinpoints next Celtic payday

Celtic have been well known for their dealings in the transfer market. The scouting staff’s nose for smelling out raw talent has been lauded for decades and it seems, for now, they have not let the club down.

Players like Moussa Dembele and Odsonne Edouard have netted the club millions and it does look like Ange Postecoglou’s business over the last 18 months is set to start the transfer cycle again.

With players like Jota, Cameron Carter-Vickers and Josip Juranovic all excellent prospects and will be set for big moves in seasons to come, Tam McManus has put his money on one of last season’s summer signings to net the club millions.

Speaking to Football Insider, McManus said, “The standout for me has been Abada, I mean, his numbers are outstanding,”

“When you look at his numbers for a 21-year-old, there is a real opportunity for him to go anywhere he wants.

“His nose for goal is incredible. I do think he can improve his general play, he is a wee bit clumsy at times but he got 15 goals or something like that last season.

“If you can get 10 or 15 goals as a wide man, as a winger, every season then there are going to be big clubs looking at you.

“He is someone who Celtic could get big money for in the next couple of years”

There is no doubt Abada is a top talent and at just 20 years old, he still has a lot of development to do.

But looking at his early form for the club, Abada has the potential to become one of Celtic’s most important players in recent seasons and it will be exciting to see how his career pans out under Ange Postecoglou.
