“Celtic are in for a shock” – Jota’s VAR comments brings out the Ibrox moonhowlers

I genuinely love The Record Hotline.

And it’s even better when it’s manned by a journalist with Ibrox leanings because they love to give their fans that little bit more column inches if it means negativity surrounding a Celtic player.

And the focus of the Ibrox support this week? Lack of transfers? Possibility of losing their top stars? Alfredo Morelos weight?

Don’t be so daft. It’s Jota’s comments on VAR.

The Portuguese winger said he’s not a fan (as are most football fans) of the new technology and instead of focusing their attention on the glaringly obvious problems at their club, these *Rangers fans wanted to talk Jota.

And it’s hilarious.

Chris Lowe, Yoker, added: “So Jota doesn’t want VAR, imagine that! It means his team will need to play with a straight bat now and not with the selective eye sight of the officials who were instrumental in Celtic winning the league last season.

Rangers know how to play with VAR as Europe proved – Celtic on the other hand are in for a shock as it’s a level playing field now.”

Instrumental in us winning the league? Brilliant. I think it was the bottle crashing of wee Gio that did that. That and Ange Postecoglou slapping the Scottish League silly.

Alfie Mullin, London, “Jota said he is anti-VAR. What a surprise, a Celtic player not liking VAR!

That’s because he knows if VAR was in place last season, Celtic wouldn’t have won the league.

He’s in for a big disappointment this season, when the dodgy decisions don’t go Celtic’s way and Rangers get their title back!”

Rangers get their title back? How many times have they won it in the last 20 years?

Kenny Goff said: “So Jota thinks VAR won’t be good for Scottish football? Yeah well him and his Celtic team won’t be getting all the decisions then, that’s what he’s worried about.”

Said without a single hint of irony…….

Ian Mckendrick : “The reason Jota doesn’t want VAR is because he’s one that will be caught out all the time.”

Caught out? Doing what exactly?

These fans are mental.

It’s brilliant isn’t it?
