Cammy Bell makes absurd Joe Hart comment defending Allan McGregor

You know I had just written about this earlier today and to be fair, up until now, the pro Rangers narrative from Cammy Bell wasn’t really worth writing about.

Until now.

Celtic’s form this season has been nothing but excellent so far.

Unbeaten since September, the club are on the brink of an incredible Treble whilst our rivals across the city scramble about hoping to put us out the Scottish Cup to save their season.

And their recent dire form is down to their goalkeeper making some high profile mistakes.

And true to form, instead of praising Joe Hart, he uses an absurd argument against the Celtic goalkeeper (who has been part of the best defensive record in the league) to defend the Rangers keeper.

Speaking on Go Radio, Bell said, “People aren’t used to Allan McGregor making these big high profile mistakes. So I feel as if he got over criticised a little bit.

He’s came back, I’d no doubt he would come back and be as strong as he ever is and present in that Rangers goal.

He’s so important. He’s been brilliant over a period of time.

If Rangers can turn his head to make him want to play another year, he’s absolutely got the ability to do that.

You look at Joe Hart, when he came to Celtic there was questions asked of him at the start.

He made a few mistakes in a short space of time.

He’s rectified that and he’s got found some good form, but listen, McGregor’s probably one of the best goalies if not the best in Scotland at the moment.”

Mistakes? I don’t recall many goalkeeping mistakes by Hart that caused us to drop points can you?

I do recall him having problems with distribution, but that had nothing to do with conceding goals.

It’s time these pundits gave themselves a shake and took off those blue tinted glasses.

What am I talking about?

This is Scotland after all.
