Why Frank? Why do you fall for this rubbish?
It’s a lie being spewed out by the Scottish media that *Rangers are to thank for the Scottish co-efficient being so high that we are now looking at an automatic Champions League group stage spot when, in fact, Celtic have done more over the last five years to co-efficient points than our rivals have.
I don’t know why the media won’t report this fact but this love in they have with *Rangers being credited with this is unreal.
Now don’t get me wrong, their performances in Europe have been very good over the last three seasons, but it is a shared responsibility between both clubs for Scotland’s standing Europe and not just down to the Ibrox club.
Well, Frank McAvennie has just misread the room and jumped in two footed, “It’s brilliant, isn’t it?” McAvennie told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“We have to give a huge thanks to Rangers, the coefficient is great for getting Celtic into the Champions League.
“It couldn’t have worked any better. Celtic have been concentrating on the league while Rangers have been doing well in Europe.
“We will just take that Champions League place off them, thank you very much.
“It’s a great run in Europe for Rangers, they will be making money from it.
“But, as things stand, they might not get the big boost of £45million group stage money, or whatever it is, because they didn’t make it through the qualifiers this year, who says they will next year?”
Oh dear Frank. Why do you not check these things out before commenting? And these Hoops fans were not happy at all with him:

He’s right though, they are due credit. For all their claims otherwise they alone did not win us the automatic qualification spot but their Euro performances have help put a heap of points toward the co-efficient. So cheers for that, Sevconian suckas!
