Yeah, they now know it. It took a while, but Rangers fans now know that Ange Postecoglou’s Celtic are for real.
From the ashes of last season this team have risen like a Phoenix and this afternoon, the team from Ibrox are going to feel the full force of the Parkhead machine.
And the fear is real amongst their fans.
Even Barry Ferguson knows it.
Speaking on Go Radio, the former Oldco captain said of todays match and of the last Glasgow Derby, “It hurt, there’s no doubt about it. I’m not going to sit here and lie.
“Rangers got absolutely battered in the first 45 minutes. Second half you could say it was a bit better but the game was over and done with.
“So I expect the the Rangers players to be hurting. I’d be thinking back to that game and that performance and I’d want to put it right.
“Will it be in the back of the Rangers players’ minds, the last game? I’d like to think it is because it would be on the back of my mind.
“It was that bad. You need to put it right.
“How you feel after that game sitting in the dressing room and for days after. It hurts for days and days.
“I’d like to think the Rangers players are desperate to get out there at 12 o’clock on Sunday.
“I think Celtic only play one way and that’s to win games.,” he added. “I know for a fact Rangers need to win it.
“People might not think it’s a big thing as well, but 14 goals, it’s like another point.
“I would rather be in Celtic’s points, that’s for sure. The only way Rangers can try and claw that back is by getting three points on Sunday.
“I think it’s going to be a cracking game.”
