Mark Warburton is a decent guy.
I’ve listened to a couple of podcasts that Warburton has appeared on and comes across as a decent fella.
He genuinely does.
And on the Sacked in The Morning podcast he opened up on how he was sacked from Ibrox.
Warburton said, “I literally remember sitting in an apartment in Glasgow’s West End.
“And I remember it’s that five to nine and I’m flicking through and I looked up and I literally turned on Sky Sports, and I saw this yellow headline.
“And the phone started jumping. It was Friday night, five to nine and I was like, ‘What’s this? Mark Warburton resigns as Rangers manager.’
“So I phoned Davie Weir and I said, “Davie, I think I’ve just been sacked.” And he said to me, “So have I.” and I said, “Why is that?” and I looked at it [Sky Sports] and it said Davie Weir has also resigned.
“And that was it.
“I got a text sent to say ‘Please look at your email account’ and I got an email saying, “We accept your resignation.”
“I still get two or three messages a week saying, ‘You snake for leaving for walking out and Rangers.'”
No loyalty for winning a Petrofac Cup. Levels.

“We accept your resignation?”
Did he write them a letter of resignation? No? Then how could they accept his…oh, you say they didn’t want to have to pay off his contract which they would have to do if they sacked him?
Did he sue them over this? I would have. But then, I’d sue them for existing if I could….
