The latest Alfredo Morelos update concludes a hilarious weekend for the Celtic fans

What a weekend for the Celtic fans. A 3-0 win over St Mirren at Parkhead saw Reo Hatate get back to his best and grab a goal.

It also saw Kyogo Furuhashi and Adam Idah hit the back of the net alongside Joe Hart keeping a clean sheet.

The Republic of Ireland international has been proving his critics wrong after bagging his seventh goal in twelve appearances and stakes a claim for Celtic to make his loan move permanent.

And after Rangers lost at Ross County yesterday, the start of this week couldn’t get any better, could it?

Well, it just has.

Santos want to rip up Alfredo Morelos’ contract

Morelos was a player who was disliked intensely by the Celtic supporters for his antics both on and off the pitch.

And after he rinsed Rangers with a free move after some ridiculous lies about £40m China moves, it seems Alfie’s Brazilian move has gone sour as Santos look to shave him off their wage bill.

Santos president, Marcelo Teixeira, has admitted that the Colombain’s £19k per week contract is a big issue that need sorted and Morelos has been told he won’t play for the club again until it’s sorted.

Teixeira said (Football Scotland), “There is a very serious problem about Alfredo Morelos’ contract. We are monitoring the situation.

“There are two players in the squad who won’t be used in Serie B – Alfredo Morelos and Dodo.

“They are remnants of the past administration at this club.

“Their contracts are being discussed and now more than ever it becomes the board’s commitment to try to resolve this situation.”

I am sure I am in the majority when I say this. It could not have happened to a nicer bloke. Morelos had no morals when he was in Scotland and the fact that the Rangers fans put up with him shows the Ibrox fans lacked them as well.
