Celtic’s 3-1 win against Glasgow City has blown  the SWPL league race wide open.

Celtic went in at half time 1-0 down after a disappointing first half performance but Fran Alonso’s side came out in the second half with some real fire in their bellies.

The result takes Celtic within two points of Glasgow City and means that they are on course to win their first ever SWPL title.

In a perverse way, if Celtic and Glasgow City win their next fixtures, Rangers could help us win the league should they prevent City taking three points in the final game of the season.

But for now, just enjoy Fran’s celebrations because goodness knows, he and his team deserve this.
