Former Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard has fired back at the Celtic fans after their criticism that the big Frenchman seemed to down tools on one of the Hoops biggest seasons in their history.
After his big money move to Crystal Palace at the end of the transfer window, Edouard denies that he took the huff and claimed he gave his all to try and win the title.
In a report in The Daily Record, Edouard hit back, “No, this is not true.
“I think the fans said this because all the team played bad last season.
“We didn’t win the title so they were angry.
“Personally, I always give 100 per cent for the team and 100 per cent on the field.
“Yeah, it was a great opportunity for me [moving to England].
“I think it was a good moment for me to change and start a new chapter of my life, and I took it.”
Edouard was a fantastic servant to the club helping them to achieve an incredible Quadruple Treble before the dream of Ten in a row collapsed.
The big Frenchman is enjoying a good run of form for The Eagles as he continues to enjoy life in the riches of the English Premier League.
