“That’s astonishing” – Hugh Keevins reacts to latest Ibrox Gio report

Will he stay or will he go?

Nobody actually knows because when it comes to talking about Gio, the board clam up quicker than the Oldco boards wallet when it came to paying it’s bills.

The *Rangers gaffer is under severe pressure after falling nine points behind us in the title race.

It also doesn’t help that he is labelled as the worst Champions League manager in history either but that is neither here or there.

It was their draw against St Mirren that really upset the Ibrox fans and many have been calling for his head.

But the board? Quiet as a mouse and that has perplexed veteran journalist Hugh Keevins.

Speaking about the Ibrox club on Clyde 1 Superscoreboard, Keevins said, “There was one report this morning which suggested that no board meeting had taken place.

None at all, since Saturday.

That’s astonishing and it’s a worrying this for football clubs as big as Rangers if disillusionment has settled in on the supporters to the extent that they can’t even be bothered talking about it anymore.”

It’s not the first time that support has sat back and did nothing when their club was in trouble. They can be thankful that at least this time, not sacking Gio doesn’t have any bearing on whether or not they live or die.
