“That was interesting” – The fans showed their appreciation for one player. It wasn’t Kyogo or Jota.

There has been much written about Tuesday afternoons Europa League match against Ferencvaros.

Jota, Kyogo, Ralston McGregor. All players that have received some brilliant praise from the fans and the media.

But there is one player that received special recognition from the supporters, or more accurately, the Green Brigade, as revealed on The Celtic Exchange Podcast.

The boys were discussing the game post match and praised the supporters for backing their man even although prior to this week, his form had been pretty inconsistent, “One thing, around about half an hour, I picked up the Green Brigade singing for David Turnbull. To the KT tune no less.

That was interesting.

Should Celtic sign Jota now or wait till end of the season? Take the poll HERE!

You know, you’ve made it when you get a song, haven’t you?

And I think Turnbull is very much appreciated by the fans, even though he’s still got a lot to offer.

He’s certainly involved in a lot of the creative stuff but I think there’s so much more to come from Turnbull.

So it is good to see that the fans are appreciated him and are obviously singing his name which will give him a huge boost in confidence.”

Turnbull scored a screamer against Motherwell on Saturday and had a huge hand in Celtic’s second goal which wrapped up the three points on Tuesday.

Clearly a confidence player, Turnbull will take great heart from the fans lauding of him and hopefully it will spur him on to bigger and better performances in the future.
