Superscoreboard pundit slaughters Rangers Hall of Fame inductee and ‘the other mob’ guy

I think the penny is starting to really drop on this Rangers player.

James Tavernier is without doubt one of the most overrated Rangers players in my lifetime.

An average defender, a terrible captain, Tavernier has watched Celtic lift 18 trophies including a Quadruple Treble and another nine in a row under his tenure and yet, he was inducted into the Ibrox Hall of Fame just last week.

Talk about celebrating mediocrity.

He can’t defend and in the cup final he was brutally exposed in yet another Glasgow Derby where the Englishman was left seriously wanting as a Rangers captain, never mind a defender.

And Clyde 1 pundit Roger Hannah absolutely obliterated the captain, Sakala and the whole Rangers team in this outstanding rant.

Speaking on Clyde 1 Superscoreboard, Hannah said, “Rangers supporting callers have said similar things about Michael Beale.

I’ll just go back to the audio you played a minute or two ago. James Tavernier was inducted into the Rangers Hall of Fame a couple of weeks ago.

James Tavernier has won a league title with Rangers. He won a Scottish Cup with Rangers. He’s taken Rangers to a European final. He has scored almost 100 goals for the club.

But I’m afraid I’ve heard all that spiel before from him after a game.

Fashion Sakala came out with bold words last week. He talked the talk and Sakala and Tavernier and his teammates couldn’t walk the walk.

Rangers fans don’t want to hear James Tavernier coming out after another game, saying we need to look at ourselves, we are winners and we need to win games.

They want James Tavernier to turn up during a game. And he and a number of his teammates didn’t turn up yesterday.

I can’t really remember the last time James Tavernier had a major influence on an Old F*rm game, and he needs to do better, rather than talking better.”

No holding back at least Hannah put his head above the parapet with some harsh, but fair, criticism of the right back.

I hope he stays as their captain for the foreseeable future because he has been our lucky charm and our best defender for the last six seasons.
