It seems to be a day for it doesn’t it? First it was Neil Lennon talking about the COVID season and now it’s Scott Brown’s turn.

But for Broony, it wasn’t excuses he was making. The legendary captain said what all Celtic already knew and when the Rangers fans hear it,  just wait for the meltdown.

Speaking on Go Radio, Broony said, “Scotland’s top-flight is relentless. Especially at Celtic or Rangers, you’ve got to make sure that you keep winning. There are a lot players that come and they can’t do that.

“They are fantastic footballers but they don’t understand what it takes to be a Celtic player. If you don’t win, it’s 60,000 fans on top of you. If you win, it’s 60,000 absolutely loving you. You’ve got to thrive off that.

“There are a lot of players, as I said, struggle under pressure. And there were a lot of players, especially when Covid hit, shall we say, another team did well when there was no pressure…”

Rangers do seem to be able to step up to the plate when the pressure is off. Amd if their fans want to try and counter that argument, just ask them this.

In three must win games against us this season, his many have they won?

The proof, of course, will be on the pudding this Sunday where they MUST win to stop us winning another treble.
