Report: Celtic ‘working on’ their first January deal

On their way to Paradise

The speculation has been rife on this one but now it seems that there could be some movement on Celtic looking to secure the signature of Japanese defender Yuki Kobayashi.

The Yokohama F Marinos stopper has, apparently, been on Celtic’s radar for months and according to Football Insider via The Transfer Tavern, the club are working on a deal to seal the move.

Whilst the club are sitting pretty at the top of the table with a nine point lead, it seems that Postecoglou is in no mood to rest on his laurels and will look to add to the squad from a position of strength.

I know as a life long Celtic fan, I am loving this as all too often in the past we failed to capitalise whilst we were on top as our rivals languished behind.

With Giovanni van Bronckhorst receiving his marching orders this morning, the Ibrox club now not only need to try and strengthen their squad this January but they also need to find a new gaffer.

These really are exciting times for the Celtic fans as they could be witnessing the start of another prolonged period of domestic dominance.
