Ange Postecoglou seems to be scouring for talent in order to boost the team for the upcoming Champions League campaign.

First up it’s back to the J League. Rayotaro Ito is being linked with a move to the Hoops.

The attacking midfielder has been in good form this season for his club, Albirex Niigata in the J League.

Six goals and two assists in twelve appearances may have caught the attention of Ange as the 25 year old aims to keep his team in Japan’s top division.

Ito is capped at u19 level.

Next up is Colombian winger, Diego Valoyes. Currently in the Argentina Premier League with Talladega, Valoyes has scored two and created six in 12 appearances.

Bought for €500k in 2020, the 26 year old is now valued at €5m. He has yet to earn his first international cap.

So it seems that Ange Postecoglou is casting his net far and wide in order to find the next new transfer gem for next season.

The only question will be is if we are looking at so many att midfielders, is this a sign that one of our first team could be on the way out?

That may not be a bad thing considering Ange’s success in moving on players this January.
