“POTENTIALLY £90m!” – JOURNALISTS AMAZING MANAGER GAMBLE CLAIM

Every Celtic supporter is familiar with Mark Guidi and his offerings, and sometimes rantings, whenever he appears on a radio football show.

When he used to work for Clyde1 on Superscoreboard, his overbearing ‘shout down’ style whenever he didn’t agree with a caller or if a caller challenged his opinion was a huge turn off.

Since he migrated over to The Go Radio Football Show, his style has calmed somewhat but he has come up with some belting quotes and this one really gets the juices going. When speaking about the Ange Postecoglou appointment, Guidi speaks of his reservations but then made an outlandish claim that even the Doc from Back to the Future isn’t qualified to make, “You couldn’t rule anything out. If he does have to come and isolate and like I said, nothing Ange Postecoglou, I’m not being disrespectful at all. I’m not trying to ridicule him with the old ‘Ange who?’, not at all.

If he’s offered the Celtic job, good luck to him. But I don’t know how Celtic have arrived to the conclusion that Ange Postecoglou is the right man to drive Celtic forward.

And that’s nothing against him. I just have a feeling that we’re missing something. Is it just buying time until Steve Clark is available? Possibly although he is still under contract. I don’t know, maybe I’m being very unfair.

“Celtic are in the Champions League qualifiers in July and August. That’s 30 million quid. If you win the league this season. It’s another 30 million quid because you’re right into the Champions League so that’s 60 million pounds.

“And you’re 30 million pounds of season ticket money, and as we all know, we all know Celtic supporters are swithering. If you want to add all that up that’s potentially 90 million pounds in the next year based on a large show on who your next manager is going to be and with the greatest respect to Ange Postecoglou, it’s a strange one for me.”

Quite the claim for Guidi and very dramatic, but it still didn’t encourage any extra callers to challenge that because, well, you know. It’s really not worth it.
