Lubo Moravcik was a serious baller. Dr Jo Venglos pulled off a masterstroke with the capture of the Slovakian, and whilst those in the media mocked him, the minute Lobu stepped onto the pitch, we all saw just how good he was.
An absolute magician.
So when a Celtic fan makes the claim that Tom Rogic is the best player since Lubo, it really needs backed up with evidence and this outstanding video certainly makes a case for it:
I can’t help think that Rogic is wasted at West Brom. That’s not a slight on the club but mainly a regret at the level he chosen to continue his career.
Rogic’s skills should be showcased in a much higher profile league.
In nine years at Celtic, Rogic made 247 appearances, scoring 46 goals, the most iconic being the one against Aberdeen in the Scottish Cup Final in 2017 that won the Invincibles Treble and also kicked of the Quadruple Treble.
But it wasn’t his goal scoring feats the Celtic fans loved it was the way he made the ball stick to his feet and dance around the opposition at will.
Will we ever see the likes of Rogic again? Many will argue Jota could be that man but the Wizard from Oz was, and is, an absolute legend at the club.
