There are many words that sum up Celtic over the course of the last few weeks.
Rotten, rubbish, clueless, even gutless.
As the Hoops stagger from one poor result to the next, the Celtic supporters are looking ahead to October with unease as they ponder facing Aberdeen, Hibs and Motherwell away. Any slip ups in any of these games could see the league over before we all get to go trick or treating!
And not to mention the small matter of the Europa League sandwiched in between. The fixtures are coming thick and fast, as are the injuries.
However, former BBC frontman Jim Spence took to twitter to comment on the Hoops performances so far and used a word that took me back to my childhood, “A point at Parkhead is always a very good point, even if this Celtic side are bowfin 😉🕺”
And it is fair to say he wasn’t half wrong. The last three league performances from the team have been ‘bowfin’ and it is difficult to see where the next win will come from.
One Celtic fan did take exception to Spence’s tweet when he replied:
And in true Spence style, he swatted the reply away with his usual wit and charm.
Celtic are set to face Bayer Leverkusen in just under 72 hours time and with the possibility of further injury woes in the pipeline for Ange Postecoglou as he ponders Josip Juranovic and James McCarthy’s fitness ahead of the visit of the Germans, Ange and the Celtic fans will be crossing their fingers and toes that nothing more can go wrong in the treatment room as they hope the Celtic boss can turn around this ill fated form.
