Journalist in ‘critical’ Celtic star transfer move with three clubs mooted

With transfer incomings the order of the day, a lot of attention will, eventually, reach the point where we need to discuss who needs to move out of the club.

Quite simply, Ange cannot keep adding players without letting others go to balance not only the books, but the squad as well.

Forgetting the usual chat about Juranovic and Giakoumakis, there is one player who needs to get out and play first team football if he is to ever realise his early potential.

And that player is Stephen Welsh. The young Scot has dropped in and out of Ange’s team over the course of the season and with the capture of Yuki Kobayashi, he looks now to be FIFTH choice defender at the club.

The Celtic Way journalist, Stewart Ross, has claimed now it the time for Welsh to look at other options as he is now at a critical stage of his career and he has named three clubs that would be the ideal for the 22 year old.

Ross has recommended Serie A outfit Monza as a possible destination as the club ‘adopt relatively extreme ball-dominant approach’ similar to Ange’s style.liege

Or Belgian side Standard Liege? Could a move similar to Jack Hendry work out for Welsh?

Or could he follow the path of young Mikey Johnstone and head to the Portuguese Primera Liga and join Vitoria Guimares? Johnston has been enjoying a mini career revival and maybe Welsh could follow in his footsteps?

Whatever he decides to do, it does seem that, for now, his Hoops career has stalled and he needs to look at kick-starting it again.
