Yesterday’s win over Rangers at Hampden was a thing of beauty. Not on footballing sense for Celtic, but purely on the basis of us ending their season and making sure they end up trophyless. Again.
But was also excellent was the manner of the goal they lost. Completely amateurish defending saw Daizen Maeda nick in and set up Jota for what turned out to be the winner.
But was superb was the pundits on Clyde 1 Superscoreboard’s reaction to the goal.
Have a listen:
Every adjective under the sun was used to describe the defensive blunder.
And to be honest, the criticism was fully deserved. What the hell were the Rangers players thinking?
For them, a disaster. For us, a return if more of the Banter Years that we have become accustomed to ever since they died in 2012.
Long may it continue.
