“I think Celtic have to be careful – Hugh Keevins warns Celtic after latest transfer development

Giakoumakis for €4m.

Unbelievable right?

With Celtic looking to add another striker anyway, you would have to imagine that the club will have plans to add two now that it looks like the big Greek god is certain to leave in this window.

Seeing through the rest of the season with just Kyogo as our only recognised striker could be a huge mistake.

Yes, Maeda could fill in there but do we really want to just apply a sticking plaster to a really obvious issue like we did when Callum McGregor was out injured?

I don’t think so.

And journalist, Hugh Keevins, sent Celtic a transfer warning after Fabrizio Romano and Sky Sports both reported that Giakoumakis was in contract negotiations with Urawa Reds.

Speaking on Clyde 1 Superscoreboard, Keevins said, “On the subject of Giakoumakis, I think Celtic have to be careful, bearing in mind there is a final on the 26th of February.

Giakoumakis, ok it was a tap in, but he made himself useful for Celtic when he came on.

I have to assume that Celtic know there’ll be somebody in the building by the end of the transfer window otherwise, why would they be letting Giakoumakis go to Japan.

And the money, there is not a big profit there on what it cost to get him in from the Netherlands.”

You would have to imagine that Ange and Michael Nicholson have everything in hand.

They have not let us down so far.
